For many of us, the concept of chat rooms went by the wayside a long time ago. However, in the world of investing not only are online chat room communities still a thing, but they are thriving.
When it comes to online investing chat room communities, one of the more popular ones is Investors Underground. Originally started as a chat room for predominantly day traders, today Investors Underground has something for pretty much everyone.

What Is Investors Underground?
Investors Underground is one of the most well-known not just investment chat rooms on the internet, but one of the most well-known overall chat rooms on the internet. The company was founded in 2008 by Nathan Michaud.
That name might sound familiar to you from his presence on social media. Nathan’s Twitter handle, @InvestorsLive, has over 100,000 active followers.
While Investors Underground promotes itself largely as an online day trading community and chat room, they also offer educational tools for investing beginners. These educational tools are designed to get beginners more comfortable with the market and to familiarize them with market mechanics.
This is what sets Investors Underground apart from its competitors.
How Does Investors Underground Work?
You might be thinking to yourself, “how can I actually get valuable information from a chat room full of people?” Well, Investors Underground took that question into mind when they set up their online chat group platform.
Investors Underground has created individual chat rooms, each with its own theme. The philosophy of Investors Underground is to focus on the technical analysis side of things. As a result, you can get the info you are looking for on anything from penny stocks to large caps and anything in between.
To ensure that only the best information possible makes it to you as well, Investors Underground enlists the services of moderators, most of which are active traders themselves.
What is Included with Investors Underground?
Investors Underground offers three main types of chat rooms for their users.
These chat rooms are:
- OTC trading
- Swing trading
- Momentum trading
The platform offers so much more than just these chat rooms though, as part of your Investors Underground membership, you also get access to:
- Daily watch lists
- Trade recaps
- Morning calls
- Three trading courses (Textbook Trading, Tandem Trader, and Swing Trading)
- Over 1,000 video lessons
- Monthly Q&A Webinars
- Mentorship
Daily Watch Lists
Every night, Investors Underground sends out a watch list for the next day. That means that as soon as you wake up in the morning you can get started on your game plan for the day in the market.
Trade Recaps
Investors Underground doesn’t just simply tell you what you should and shouldn’t do when it comes to education, they show you as well.
Trade Recaps is a weekly trade recap review that they release via video. These video sessions review real, actual trades that they themselves made over the past week and explain the logic behind each move.
They also share with you the end result and explain what went right as well as what went wrong (if something did go wrong).
Morning Calls
The morning calls feature allows you to get inside the mind of expert traders by listening in on the daily morning call. These morning calls not only provide insight into trades for that day but also the strategy behind them.
These are just a few of the features that Investors Underground offers, for a comprehensive list of all their features, and info about them all as well, click here.
So, How Much Does Investors Underground Actually Cost?
At first glance, Investors Underground’s membership pricing might seem a little high, until you realize everything you are getting for that price.
Their standard membership is available with three different pricing options:
- Monthly – $297 a month ($3,564 for the year)
- Quarterly – $ 697 per quarter ($2,788 for the year)
- Annual – $1,987 for the year
As you can see, the longer you subscribe upfront, the more you save in the end. Paying yearly instead of monthly will net you savings of over $1500 a year.
The one thing that this subscription does not include is any of the educational tools. All educational tools are sold under a separate subscription package called the “Membership and Education” bundle.
The Membership and Educational Bundle includes everything that the standard membership comes with in addition to the Trading Courses and over 20 hours of educational content.
Just like the standard membership, their bundle is offered with the same three different pricing options:
- Monthly – $1,297 for the first month and then $297 a month for the remaining months
- Quarterly – $1,697 for the first quarter and then $497 a quarter after
- Annual – $2,697 for the first year and then $1,697 a year after that
