UOB Preferred Platinum Card for Online Shopping

For every S$5 you spend, you earn reward points quicker with this card as it offers UNI$10 (equal to 4 miles) when you purchase online. It covers almost everything you fancy, be it clothes, accessories, books, or electronics. Booking your movie tickets or buying food from your favourite fast food restaurant will earn you the same number of points.

You also earn 10x points (UNI$10 for every S$5 spent) when you make contactless purchases. With the offers on dining on this card, you have access to more than 100 buffets and treats across the country. To start off, you can get up to S$170 when you sign up for this card. And when you spend anywhere, you get up to 5% rebate on your expenditure. How can you earn this cashback? If you spend S$500, S$1,000, or S$2,000 per month for 3 months consecutively, you earn a cash rebate of S$50, S$100, or S$300 respectively for each quarter.

You can earn additional rebate in the form of SMART$ when you shop at certain partner brands. The rewards you earn from this rebate can be used for the next purchase you make at more than 300 merchants participating in the programme.

What Are the Costs Involved?

The primary card will cost you S$192.6 a year, but you get the first year’s charges waived. The first supplementary card you get will be free, but for subsequent cards you’ll have to pay S$96.30. You can have your annual fees waived for subsequent years when you spend a minimum of S$12,000 per year.

OCBC 365 Credit Card for Regular Spends

With this card, you get rewarded with cashback with just about everything you spend on. Spend on food, shopping, transport, fuel, or several other options to earn cashback. Take a look at some of the cashback rates you earn for the different spends:

  • 3% on recurring utility bills.

Once you get this card and make the required spends during the first 3 months, you’ll get a bonus of up to 43,000 KrisFlyer miles. And till 31 December 2018, upon approval of your card, you will get CapitaVouchers worth S$20 when you use MyInfo and pre-fill your card application.

Every time you spend S$1 on this card, you’ll earn 1.2 KrisFlyer miles on qualifying purchases. Spend in foreign currency while you’re abroad and you’ll earn 2 KrisFlyer miles per S$1 on qualifying spends in June and December.
